I'd like to know who else is from Aylmer and have a SW tank?

Hey all!  I thought about creating a new thread for this, but the crowd I'm after is actually here.

For all of those living on or near the Plateau, how is your water pH?  I find I'm having a REALLY hard time getting the ph above 7.8-7.9   I have kept it like that for a while, but I don't think it's optimal for my tank.

I tried dosing, but it only seems to improve for a very short amount of time.  There must be something I am doing wrong, unless our water is really on the low side for pH.

Please reply directly to me so we don't clutter this thread (unless it's ok to do so).  I can post a summary later of the replies I got.

how many ppl are in your house?
whats your parameters at?

I usually dose once every second day, manually (not ideal, I know).  I need to figure out how much I need and add to the topoffs.

We are 4 in the house (2 adults and 2 kids).  The house is 15 years old, has an air exchanger running during the winter months.

I'll remeasure everything tonight, but my Calcium and Alk are usually ok according to my tests.

i got 8.2 ph regularly :) I was told this was good and people were having troubles keeping it up. never added anything always used ro/di and I/O Salt
