5.5g breeder at first... Maybe planted in the future?

So I was in big als tonight and saw this unreal halfmoon that needed a good home and I have a female looking for a mate so I picked him and a bare 5.5g up.
I'm letting the tank cycle with water from a 2.5g and sponge filter.

Hoping that I can get some halfmoon fry soon enough

Completely agree. When I first started breeding Bettas around 3/4 years ago the only really nice ones you could get we're crown tail unless you specially ordered them.

That is true but he beat up one of my females very badly and just wouldn't spawn so I'm going to give him some time to mature. In the mean time this guy was healthy and active and I figured I'd give him a go.
