Vaseline and HOB filters

Howdy,
I wanted to let anyone that has the same problem that I had know that if you have a noisy HOB, lube the propeller shaft with pure vaseline and it makes it run like a dream.

Just a quick bit of advice; be very careful with Vaseline. It is a petroleum product and as such, it can and will degrade or dissolve some rubber or plastic parts. You're probably better off using plumbers' silicone lubricant.
