welcome!  but I must ask.. pink sand? :|  or is it just the name of it.  I am picturing a reef tank with bright pink sand bed like I see in freshwater systems.  ??? ::)

Welcome!

Looks like you're off to a good start, although I'd ditch the aquaclear filters and grab a nice little HOB skimmer. :)

What kind of light fixture are you rockin'?

Hi there!! The aquaclear filters are mostly for water polishing and are cleaned once each week so no nitrate trap here  :) my next move will be a skimmer and lights! I don't like how HOB look on a tank so I am looking into a Hydor Slim Skim unit. For the lights I am still collecting info on LED setups but I would much rather grab a fixture with MH/t5/moon leds all in one. I'm taking it slow and easy and not rushing any addition to the tank. Hoping to have lights and skimmer by the end of the month and start picking out some nice corals :D

Why not turn one of the aquaclear filters into a HOB DIY fuge? As for a skimmer, the Tunze 9002 is amazing!!!!!

Well for a fuge I don't think its big enough... I have enough problems fitting all my media so that's why I have 2 :) the tunze unit if would not have a doubt of its greatness but I don't like the look of the cup and I find the slim skim has a more sleek look and will be matching with my black background !

Thanks again for all the welcomes and sugestions
