Dear OVAS members,
At this year's BBQ, your executive would like to recognize those of you who breed or have bred any pure strains of fish in the last year or so. Even if you only breed one type of fish continuously, or breed your fish without having a successful brood raised; we believe you should be recognized for your efforts. This also gives our members a chance to help our Breeding Awards Program to excel once again and spark more interest within our aquatic community.
This also applies to anyone interested in the Aquatic Horticulturist Awards Program. Meaning anyone who has successfully propagated any 'true' aquatic plants in their aquarium or pond, over the last year may enter.
For all our SALTY friends; although we do not have a running Marine Achievement Program (yet), we would like to recognize your efforts as well. If you have corals you have propagated, or marine fish/invertebrates you have successfully bred in the past year, please feel free to submit your entries!
There will be framed certificates presented to those who qualify, as well as the opportunity to win gift certificates from one of our sponsors! All members who receive a certificate will be put into a draw to win one of many gift certificates available!
Please note that this opportunity ONLY applies to paying OVAS club members, who are in good standing with the club. No businesses are allowed to participate.
Entries will be accepted until May 31, 2012.
For more information, or to enter your fish/plants/corals, please pm or email our BAP/AHAP Chair, Jasmine Landriault.

Send me a list of the plants you have successfully propagated (whether through clippings, flowering, seeds, runners, etc.) throughout this past OVAS season (so September 2011 to now).
Helpful tips for everyone interested:
-photo 'time lines' are accepted in lieu of documentation of growth (although documentation is helpful, we can get along without it.)
-don't be afraid to pm me if you are uncertain about something!

Let's get our club noticed again! and PLEASE..send in your entries, participate!...We don't want to give Errol ALL the gift certificates!  :P

Are you ok with a list of greens that I dropped of at the Giant auction this year? Or all past GA for that matter ... :)

Yep! I don't have a problem with that, I've seen your tanks :) As long as it's just from this past season though (since September basically.)

I'm always amazed by my ability to kill every plant, yet my algae thrives....
