Hello!

I've been wanting to join here for awhile...  It's taken to long :)

I have a 90gal mixed reef, 2x250w xm20000k 2 t5s, running gfo, tunze skimmer, starting balling from Ocean Fresh Aquatics and Prodibio.  Have 2 clowns, 1 firefish, 1 mandy (finally felt I had enough to sustain his diet) and a yellow watchman.

Have been having issues with cyano and valonia and acros birdnests have stn but have gone from this:

To this:

Within the last few weeks with scraping and siphoning and 15-20gal water changes weekly.
My parameters
Specific Grav 1.025
PH: 8.2
Ammonia:0
Nitrite:0
Nitrate:0
Phosphate:0
*DKH:7* lowered from 9 in 24hrs
Calcium:420
Mag: 1200

Also thinking about getting a membership and joining in ;)  Might be fun for us to chat with others with the same obsession!

Thanks!
Stef

Thanks!  Did a bit of re-aquascaping a couple days ago because we didn't know why we have the birdnests and acros having stn and wanted to see if we could get the flow going differently.  We found a rusty hair clip in the sump yesterday... grrrrrrrr  Lets see if the corals stop melting now! Maybe I can get myself some nice blues and reds now ;)

Thanks!  :D  I'll be happy to tell people what NOT to do for now ;)  We can learn from our mistakes as well as other's.
