I would personally do some very cool catfish.

coffee table would have been a good idea!

i had some left overs from another project, all i needed was a 4'x4' for the bottom and thats it!

mett: still havent decided what to do with lighting, my budget is limited since i just set up 4 other new tanks(24,24,26,55)....and then there is another 28 that i am setting up today......

i dont know if i will have any $$$ left tobe honest!

For the bottom you could have use heavy gage black plastic and plywood Cheaper and  this gives you a  base to build on.

But another suggestion could be soil substrate with Mudskipers and fidler crabs.

Tank is only a foot high, Julie. I don't think rays/gars would mix well in that. But that's just me.

As for the motor in Barrhaven - it did get price dropped. Nice little guy. People are always -this close- to buying it when significant interest is shown but no one has as of yet. It's like the fishroom mascot. The kids LOVE it.
