Free to anyone who wants.   Works just fine.   It has dust under the glass, so it is no longer usable for scanning photos, but for papers it isn't noticeable.   Comes with all necessary cords.

Why is this not in the classifieds?  I thought non-members were still able to view the classifieds, but could not post ads. (and I see you're a member)

Just curious...

I put it here because I think more people look in this forum than the classifieds.   Unless someone was specifically looking for a scanner, they wouldn't go to the classifieds.  However posting it here, someone might say, well, hey, I wouldn't mind a free one.

I put it here as an afterthought.  I was going to take it to the recycle, and then thought perhaps someone could use it.

Gotcha... I tend to look at the classifieds daily -- not sure why. :)

If you really want to get rid of it fast, toss it up on Kijiji.  You can put ANYTHING up there with FREE beside it, and it'll get picked up within an hour.  "FREE - 3 month old chinese food from the back of my fridge!"  would probably go.

Wow.   Ok, people really do put just anything on Kijiji.

I was afraid to put the scanner up because I would get the guy who is happy to have it, but wants me to deliver it (for free), and lives in Cornwall.  That's the kind of buyer I get whenever I want to sell something on Kijiji!

Naw... You'll get people who want things delivered sometimes, but you don't have to "do business with" those people.

All those expired items...  This is why I'm afraid of my wife watching the Extreme Coupon shows.  Those people have SO MUCH STUFF that it's physically impossible to actually use it before it expires.  My wife does SOME stockpiling, but has never gotten so much that you have to resort to giving it away after it's expired.... 30lbs of Turtles DOES have me intrigued though............

haha.. I just looked at the ad I posted for the free chocolate.. look at Picture # 4 in the bottom.. what are those boxes .. MUAHAHAH!!hilarious.

Maybe that guy was stockpiling for the end of the world in 2012.  :)

That's awesome...  I just pictured the guy looking for survivors of Dec 21 and luring the women with chocolate (you know it would work) and then the pregnancy tests would help to ensure survival of the human race!!!

Based on what's in those boxes he probably works at a pharmacy...and that's how he got it all for free.

My sister used to work for Godiva in college and when chocolate would bloom they would write it off the give the staff boxes with 150 truffles in them.  There was nothing wrong with them, but you can't really put chocolate with a white haze on it in a display case in a high end chocolate store.
I haz reef tanks.

Hard to say... I know that there are lots of people who stockpile stuff when it's cheap and there's a coupon to use.  He/she could have bought all this stuff 2 years ago, and it's been on a shelf in the basement until now.  I'd rather give something to someone who can use it than toss it in the trash...

My wife stocked up on Gillette products last year when there was a coupon in the P&G Saver thing she gets out of the Citizen every other week.  Buy 5 Gillette products, get $10 back...  They didn't specify WHAT Gillette products, or sizes, so she bought 5 travel size "sample" shaving creams from Walmart for $1 each and got $5 in her pocket... And she had 10 of those coupons.  So now I've got 50 little cans of shaving cream to work my way through and she got $50 worth of free stuff from Walmart.

Coupons can be awesome, if you read the fine print and watch for sales - and know how to milk the system!! :)
