Just saw this for Ohio Cichlid Association (OCA)
The date is November 22,23 and 24 of 2013.
Strongville, Ohio near Cleveland.

We have a small group that attend each year from OVAS.

Here is the list of speakers.
Willem Heijns will be visiting from the Netherlands. He has spoken at past Extravaganzas, most recently 2009. He gives fascinating, in depth talks on Central American cichlids, and is very active here on the CRC. Here's a link to his bio:

Thomas Andersen, from Denmark, will be making his first Extravaganza appearance. He is a Tanganyikan specialist, has many articles on the CRC, and is very active on this forum.

Shane Linder has spoken at OCA meetings, but this will be his first Extravaganza presentation. He is the Shane of "Shane's World", part of Planet Catfish. Here's a link to the site: http://www.planetcatfish.com

And, of course, our old friend Ad Konings will be making his annual pilgrimage to the North Coast.

So who's going this year? I see Al will be there and my brother and I will be
also. Sound like it will be a good one this year  Only 1 month away.  If you like
to get great prices on fish/equipment then don't miss this one. Great talks and people
to find out information about different types of fish keeping.

Ed,
You're right - the 3-4 day getaway is always a lot of fun - lots to see, walking the halls at all times of the day/night seeing/buying fish in vendors rooms, great speakers and just all around having a great time and some good meals - oh and lets not forget, a couple of cold beers. Look forward to seeing you all in Ohio. I wonder what Steve will have up his sleeve this year - always a treat. I will be driving down Friday morning and coming back Monday, as usual. Let's keep our fingers crossed for "no snow"

Only thing that would make it better would be if I was going! Best show of any kind...anywhere! Have fun y'all and try and behave!
Cheers

Taking a little break from the auction, some down time but will go back.
I won the 65 gallon aquarium setup here but sold it because it would be too
hard to bring back, but I kept the light from it. So far so good.  Need to bag
fish tonight. Weather is cold but not as cold as Ottawa, Snow alittle but none
on the ground.

Sad I couldn't make it this year. Really miss walking up down and down the hallways and talking fish for a whole weekend.
Not gonna miss it again next year, promise!

:)
be aware of the green side

Robert, It will be good to see you there again. Also, next year will be the 20th anniversary of the Extravaganza and organizers say they will be trying to plan something truly special.

I got cut off in the picture. But for sure next year will be the biggest and it's also Ray's last year
doing his thing, he say. Going to have to book fast next year 2014 once they open the rooms to book.
This year both hotels were fully booked up.
