I've recently set up a freshwater tropical tank at the boyfriend's place, and was wondering if anyone on here either breeds zebra plecos, or knows of where I can find one.

Either PM me or respond

Thanks,

Erin

Personally I make sure that your tank is well established before introducing an expensive Zebra Pleco (L046). The member "fischkopp" Breeds some beautiful and very healthy plecos. I have purchased a few. He is very friendly and helpful. I have not asked him about the L046 yet, but he might have a connection.

P.s... If you find a seller that breeds locally, let me know i am in the market for one.

Your best bet is Toronto, Lucky aquarium sometime have them $299.00 each.
The average people sell them is about $200-$300 for 2 "+ size. less then 1" about $100.00.

I've seen them at lucky aquarium for $185, but I didn't notice any this past weekend when we went down. When they first came out they were selling for like $300 each, but have since come down a bit. That said, a fella we met at DRAS has been successful breeding them, but I didn't ask how much he sells them for. You might want to try contacting them through their website, or going to their annual auction.
