Today found one of my three leleupis dead, I believe I had three males. One of the dominant one keeps on chasing the one that died. I thought they were peaceful cichlids?

Should have looked them up before adding all three all together. A size of a fish that small and there cute appearance, one gets fooled lol!

I found when keeping cichlids in the past that it's much better on my wallet, and the fish's lives, to check everything on cichlid-forums before adding it to my tank...

I have Julidochromis Dickfeldi which is similar to your leleupi.
I have had them for over a year.  They breed and don't eat the young.
So far have not lost any.  I find them a very interesting fish.
Just about all cichlids are aggressive.  
Its too bad you ended up with all males.
