For a while now I have come across hobbyists who have seen the pest below on their Zoas and noticed that they are pests indeed, the troublesome fact is that no one seems to be able to come up with an ID ...

Should you have seen one of these and have a better picture or do have an ID pls do let me know. It really bothers me that others and myself cannot figure out what this really is ... Thanks

This certainly is a very unusual looking one ... and I now know at least 12+ Hobbyists who have had them in their tanks and some who still do and have not been able to kill them off.

Have you asked Dr. Shimek? This seems like the sort of thing he gets people to mail him to check out. Just a thought.

Not yet but I probably will. I was in touch with Marc Levenson (Melev) and he has never seen it either, he wonders whether it is perhaps a fish fry rather than a pest ... so I am going to do some searches for fry that have those colors, but it seemed to me that it looked more like a slug than like a fish fry
