CO2 re-cert

Hey All,
My 10 lbs CO2 tank will need to be re-certified at my next fill.  For anyone that has had it done at Davidsons or Pyromateck, how long does it take to re-cert (in real world terms)?  Is it done while you wait, done on the same day, or some other length of time?

I only had it done once, the process does not take a lot of time but it depends on how busy they are, at most a drop off & pick up the same day.

I asked about this at Davidson's one time.  They said that if they have an equivalent tank in stock and ready to go, they will trade you if you don't want to wait.

That's what they offered me too. So I left them my heavy steel bottle and walked home with a nice aluminium bottle ... so they told me, was still painted red though.
