Hmm, i think i picked some up from Petsmart in Emerald plaza but it was labeled different. Have to see if they still have any?

I'm pretty sure Cj has some.  It's fairly demanding though, at least for me.

Definitely need to revisit the source to see if they still have any! My plants leaves dont look the same as the ones in the tropica link.

Even going back and looking at the picture on planted tanks. It doesnt look the same. My leafs are thinner and my stems are just green? Serves me right for not getting a pic of the name!

It is scarlet temple, incidentally this is the plant that got me into planted tanks & from that very store when it was branded 'superpet"
I saw it in good colour , bought it took it home & it died after a few days - went back got another one (died)
3rd time it died I started to investigate why?
Turns out it needed good lights , nourishment etc, at the time I knew absolutely  nothing about planted tanks & that is where it all started.
The picture of the one you posted looks like it`s in rough shape & I suspect may give you the same problem I had when I first bought it.

Yes some of it is in rough shape. That is the batch in the tank i got from you. I took a few stems and put them in my new tank and they are pretty much dead! I upgraded the light on the tank from you. I would say it's now a medium/high light tank now. If it dies i will look into something a little less high maintenance with some colour.

I don't believe that i did? All the plants in the tank are green except that one.

hmm, I don`t think I had any Alternanthera reineckii in that tank, since I know it needs bright light & CO2

They still had some alternanthera reineckii at BA's east today but it's not as red as this past weekend.
