Hi All...Can anyone recommend a product that I can buy that will remove scratches from my tank?  If not, possibly someone who does that type of thing...house calls a must!!

As mentioned in the header, the tank is glass.

when you find a product let me know. my tanks have lots of scratches..
I wonder if we could use  a buffer like the windsheild repairers use.

Hobby astronomers grind their own telescope lenses (hopefully without leaving scratches :) ). Maybe i could ask some people in my circle what they use to grind the glass - though I think its diamond dust.

Spoke to my neighbour yesterday.  He's a very serious astronomer (observatory in his back yard) and he's not aware of anyone in his circle of friends that grind their own lenses - too much risk of distortion etc.  ....the search continues!

dpatte

actually - i made an error - i meant that they grind their own mirrors. I'll get back to you on this.

oops...guess I was a little tired that day.  If the scratches are on the inside, the water should fill them in.  On the outside...I think you might be out of luck!(all I know is products for acrylic)  If I come across anything i'll let you all know!

Nelson

Thanks everyone.  If I have any luck finding a solution I'll let you know.

Well, perhaps this product will work? I haven't tried it (on any of our tanks) but sure need to give it a try for my glasses! If you try it, please let me know how you make out.

Looked really interesting.  Went to the site and began placing an order - $12.95 seemed like a cheap remedy.  When I got to the check out link I noticed that they charge a shipping fee of $80,00!!!  ARE THEY NUTS!!!  Thanks for the suggestion but the search continues.
