I wanted to get the exact address for our monthly meetings and had to dig around in the site. In fact unless you are in the known it's not obvious at all from the home page that we do have monthly face to face meetings. I think the fact that we do meet a lot of members face to face is what makes this forum interesting and personal. So my suggestion is to do something on the home page to promote the land based stuff.

Next suggestion is to increase the lenght of the pages in the forums so that you only have to scroll down instead of having to "flip" pages. I noticed that Pegasus said he had to go back 8 pages before he found the post he was looking for after only 2 weeks. That's not really a long time but how many people are going to flip back that many pages and think that things are that recent. I think a lot of good stuff is getting lost with these short pages.

Third suggestion - and purhaps it's been made already as I haven't read the posts in this section... To animate the chat section maybe we could have a schedualed weekly chat on a specific topic. The topic could be posted before hand with an assigned moderater/knowlegdable person. And even if things don't stay on topic at least people would know when others are up for a chat.

Great ideas Jenn, I'll work to get #1 and #3 established asap, and #2...I'll start looking into code hacking to make that happen too
