Vitae: Eleonore is a Dutch national that works in development aid projects as an international forestry consultant. These projects range from reforestation to biodiversity protection. Her work takes her to many countries which has allowed her to combine work with her hobby by visiting local fish hobbyists and stores in these countries and even go on fishing trips.
Eleonore lived in Mexico for 15 years where she got in contact with an aquatic biologist that works to disseminate information about, and to preserve, endemic fish. She has been involved from the start in the initiative to preserve Profundus oxacae.
Eleonore lives in Montreal when in Canada. Her main interests in the hobby are biotopes with plants and (Asian) nano and labyrinth fish.
