A fish-friendly reminder from the Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society…
I hope this second-winter hasn’t discouraged your fish-keeping practices. Remember to use an insulated container for safe transportation of aquarium inhabitants!
Our Vice-President, Jody McManus, runs an extensive fishroom / fish-basement, with over 50 aquariums! He has been successful at breeding and raising numerous fish species, ranging from livebearers to cichlids, from around the world. In addition, Jody organizes and runs our Breeders Award Program (BAP), which encourages members to document breeding success and distribute species within our membership. This month’s presentation will feature Jody’s updated breeder’s fishroom. There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion.
We will have some open vendor’s tables for people (including you) who want to bring some stuff to sell, so bring some cash, just in case. Don’t forget that memberships are up for renewal, and we can do them at the meeting. However, if you are unable to attend the meeting, you can still renew online by going to our Membership page. Previous memberships expired on September 31, 2022.

This is a FREE event sponsored by the Ottawa Valley Aquarium Society. Anyone with an interest in aquariums and related hobbies is welcome to attend. OVAS presentations are a great place to meet other aquarium hobbyists, exchange ideas and learn more about fish and aquatic plant keeping.
