A Guide to High-Tech Aquariums [Carl Presseault]

The aquarium hobby has come a long way over the years. If you’ve been keeping aquariums for a while, you’ve likely seen firsthand how technology has evolved, making it easier than ever to create stunning underwater landscapes. The idea of a high-tech aquarium isn’t new, but it has always relied on the latest innovations of its time. Fast forward to today, and the hobby has moved well beyond the days of T12 fluorescent and incandescent light bulbs.

In this talk, Carl will explore what it takes to create a planted, high-energy aquarium. From fertilizers and CO₂ systems to advanced lighting and other key elements, he’ll break down the tools and techniques that transform a tank into a lush, thriving aquascape. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your skills to the next level, this discussion will offer plenty of insights and inspiration.
