Besides activating notification is there a way to display a notice there is a new classifieds ad when you click Unread Messages?

Sort of.  There is a link in the classifieds, "unviewed", which should give you what you want.  It might be worthwhile to make a copy of that link in the Profile Box on the left hand side of the forum.  I'll see what I can do.

Don't forget that OVAS has a separate webpage as well.  http://ovas.ca/ovas/

Ok, just below the "Show all unread" is a link for "Unread classifieds".

Notify is not working for me in the for sale section. New things are posted in For Sale and I don't get an email. It has always worked for me before. I am getting notified in other areas I have requested notification.

I'm not 100% convinced it's working all the time.  I get some, but not others.  I checked the mySQL tables and you are subscribed to receive the notifications.  I'll check into it with the package developer.

Thanks. Maybe I have to make sure every post in the classifieds is marked read before I will get notification of new ones.

Would it be possible to get a "mark all as read" for the unread classifieds page?  And an indicator of which category the listing is in (for sale, looking for, for free/for trade)?

No and no.  The software apparently does not support that.

Good idea though, I will post an upgrade request on the developers forum.

I just posted in the LF section and noticed that it doesn't resize the image and kinda just made it LARGE.  You will see what I mean if you look in the LF section.  Is there a max size limitation option?

It doesn't appear to resize images that are linked in.  I've reposted your ad with the resized image.

For the time being I'm not going to allow linked image - unless I can find a way to reduce their size for the thumbnail.

At the bottom of the Forum listing page in the OVAS Info Centre the 10 most recent classified ads are now displayed.

When I try to add a picture to my classified, I get :
QuoteThis listing has reached the limit of the number of images it can have.

Is this normal ? What is the maximum file size ?

The image I'm trying to add is 86KB, 500x375, JPG, uploading from my Mac desktop.

OVAS-Webmaster

Maximum of four pictures per ad, 1500 x 1500.  I check and it it was in the For Free board I had the number of pictures set to 0, it is now 4.

Just curious if there is any way to renew/bump adds in the new classifieds?

The short answer is no.

For now I am going to try and balance the length that an ad is allowed to be on the board (currently 60 days) and the number of pages of ads.  Somewhere in the vicinity of 5-6 pages is about where I think it works well.
