Classifieds - Featured items

One of the options with our new classified software is the ability to have featured items.  These items would show up on the front page of the classified section (as in the image below) and would allow sellers to feature their item they have for sale.

Featured items would be purchased for a set price and would remain as a featured item until sold or the ad expired (currently 60 days).

The questions that I have are:

1) Is this something that would be of benefit to people who are selling items on the forum?
2) What price level would be appropriate for this service?

Since there appears to be zero interest in this it will not be implemented.

Why not?  At worse case it generates some OVAS $$.  Or doesnt get used...  Either way.

If it's just the matter of setting up a flag in the Forum's config, I would turn it on.  I agree with Hookup; better enable it and see if people use it (assuming it doesn't involve hours of work on your end).

As a rough idea, I think 5$ would be a good starting point.
Or maybe 5$ for items < 50$, 7.50$ for items < 100$, 10$ for items > 100$.

For instance I want to get rid of my plastic plants ASAP.  I'm selling them for 30$ now, not worth my while to spend 10$ to sell them quick (might as well lower the price to 20$) but if I want to sell a whole setup worth 400$, hell yes I would definitely spend 10$ to see it gone as early as possible !

If it were used we wouldn't be looking at a price based system... people would try to find as many ways around it as possible. If would be a flat rate to feature your ad.
