Celestial Pearl Danios/Galaxy Rasboras?

Hello!

I recently moved to Ottawa and had to sell off my former fish.  I have been looking all over for Celestial Pearl Danios without any luck.

Does anyone know of a good freshwater fish supplier, or where I can find some?

They have some at big ALS Kanata 5.99$ each I'm pretty sure I saw them last Thursday. Great looking fish!

WOW haven't heard that name in a long time... :-) they were a fav. of mine for many a moon and raised them for quite sometime. You know them at very well?

I had them for about 3 years or so.  I bought about 20-25 of them and only had one die on me (that I knew of).  They were VERY skittish and it was a densely planted tank, so I'm not sure if they ever bred or not.  But the population was always stable, so I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

It was really tough parting with them!  I'll check the Big Al's in the area and see if they have any. 

I only know of Big Al's and La Niche for freshwater fish... I know there must be more in Ottawa/Hull...

Jshchrtn is right, Big Al's in Kanata has them for $5.99ea.  I thought about getting some but seemed a bit pricey even with the 20% off boxing week sale, and besides, when I was in on Friday they only had a handful.  Would like a school of at least 10.

I have a group of 20 in my tank.  These guys are all captive bred so they're not as skittish as the populations of wild caught fish that were available years ago.  They aren't out in the open all the time but at least I can see these.  I had a group of those wild caught guys.  They were in a 15 gallon tank that was densely planted...or should I say, FULL of moss and most people thought I had a tank of moss.  Out of seemingly nowhere, 2 dozen fish swam out for food though!  They are absolutely amazing little fish!! 

I had to go all the way to Toronto to get mine...not that I was there specifically for Celestial Pearl Danios.  That would be just a bit nuts!  If you happen to be there anyways, most of the Asian fish shops carry them for much less than $5.99. OUCH!  I got mine on sale for $2 each on sale the last time I was there!!

I've seen them at La Niche for sure. Once in a while at Big Al's.
