Winter 2010 Newsletter??

I ended up accessing the site via the "normal route" - I have a favorites link to go directly to the Forum so I rarely end up open the welcome page - and behold! I see a new Winter 2010 Newsletter announcement at the very bottom of the page.
Where was this announced in the forum?? There used to be a child board in Ovas announcements and now that has disappeared. When were these changes communicated?

Also, in scanning the available newsletters from the About OVAS menu, I noticed that the Summer 2010 issue is not included in the list of Newsletters. Could this be added please?

First of all the Winter 2010 newsletter you are talking about is the newsletter for last season.  I have it filed under the wrong season and I will remedy that soon.  I don't believe there is a Winter newsletter for this season as of yet.

The latest newsletter (Fall 2010) as per usual was announced on the forum, as a item on our homepage, hard copies are brought to our meetings and if you sign up for our email list you will receive a notice of not only our meetings but the arrival of the newsletter.

As for a Summer 2010 newsletter, it may or may not have been published.  If I missed it I will post it.

The child boards (the Newsletter one that existed for awhile) has been removed as it we thought it was not visible enough.  Just as we will be moving the BAP child board forward.  Website changes are communicated in the following link - although all changes may or may not be there.

Sorry, you're right about the announcement in the Forum - somehow I must have missed it as it was the day I came back from the Ohio convention. And it is the Fall 2010, not the Winter 2010 issue - it was an early morning post LOL.
However, a few things:
- There is a Summer 2010 issue, to which I contributed:

- I never received a notification about the newsletter, although I am subscribed to the group mailings. For example, I got notification about the November meeting, but nothing about the newsletter.
-I did not see anything about removing the newsletter child board and placing it on the Home page. However, I now know where it is.

The Summer 2010 issue has already been posted on the site.  It is filed under the 2009-2010 season as our season really starts in September.  There was a bit of a mix up when the newsletters were moved over to the homepage.  I've asked our intrepid newsletter person to make sure I've put everything in it's right place.

I will be removing the Newsletter link in the Article/Info sidebar as it is being cleaned up as part of the move of non-forum items to the homepage.

The newsletters have be cleaned up and are now under their correct season.  The link to the newsletters in the left-hand side Article/Info has been deleted.
