Has anyone else bought one of these, they are neat even though the open top is dangerous and evaporation sucks! It fits perfectly in my living room! They now sell a lid and backgrounds for them.  I lost two Betta's in it once from jumping and once from ghost shrimp, Though I have had neon's and amano shrimp in it since boxing day without any issues.  The neon's are still small I have small clumps of flame and xmas moss in it with a moss ball.  The plastic lily pad plant isn't too bad either.  It is definitely a tank which only purpose is looks, i do 50% water changes twice weekly and always clean filter media well when water changes are done. Here is some pics? Anyone else have one?

I looked at those, and thought they were neat looking.  Does the water make a trickling noise?

Ya it can but you can control it by how many rocks you place on the top filter box I am in the same room as it and I can't hear it but sometimes I move the rocks and let flow faster and louder.

I set one up at the store I work at - I originally filled it with a dozen cherry shrimp, but its now populated to at least 30 shrimps.  About a month ago I brought home around 15 large adults and have populated another 15 gallon tank with the adults.

I just keep filling it up with bottled water whenever it gets too low due to evaporation but have not yet done an official water change (its been set up since since June).  The shrimps get fed 1/2 shrimp pellet once every 10 days or so but spend most of their time grazing on the algae on the plant leaves and rocks.

I have attached some moss to the top waterfall section for some added "coolness", but the tank itself is also filled with assorted mosses.  I will attach picts later.

I agree this system is purely for looks and not much of a system for goldfish (as the box photo has) or really any other type of fish above 1" in length.  I had a betta in their initially to help with cycling, but removed him once I acquired the shrimps.

Sounds cool, i look forward to seeing your chi! I should get some cherry shrimp for one of my tanks!

I set one of these up for my daughter's betta. At night the light projects upward and dances on the ceiling.

I was walking down the street and a man was hammering on a roof top and he called me a Paranoid Little Weirdo. . . in morse code.

I like your set up its nice and simple, tank sure looks clean!

What my chi looks like now with 5 neons, 3 amano shrimp, couple small cherry shrimp and a couple tiger netrite snails.

Lol thanks I was just spending too much time on here, fish keeping is addicting specially during start up of a new tank lol, the nerites do lay eggs have to scratch them off. I've just been trying to maintain the tanks I have!
