When looking at the forum list (http://ovas.ca/forum/index.php) some of the icons are shaded out and others are colored up...

Instinctively, i assumed the colored ones meant there were un-read threads...

clicking "show unread" returned no results...

Clicking back (link above) has the same results.


What do the colors/lack of color mean on those icons?

It seems to be working as unread = coloured on my screen.

You might need to super-refresh the page (shift+F5).

Yeah if you use the back button instead of the Forum menu item you get the cached version. If that is what you were doing? Sorry if you already know that or weren't...

There does seem to be a small issue here.  Our previous "Show unread" link is slightly different than this one.  This one does not seem to want to necessarily show all the unread posts.  The fix is easy and I prefer the old way, so if I can find the time tonight I'll make the necessary changes.

Not sure if it is connected but if I open 'Show unread' through the link in left side bar then leave with out reading any then return at a later time/date it seems only unread message since the last time I clicked the link are displayed instead of all unread. But on the left side bar all the unread are displayed with the cool 'New' icon. Understand what I mean? Not sure if connected to this issue but in same category.

I have the same issue as Dan. When I leave the site without reading all the unread messages, upon returning and hitting view unread I only get the messages that have been posted since my last visit.

I've cleared my browsing cache, not cookies though.

seen multiple full-colored icons, so i clicked show unread and there are no messages that are listed (i.e. i've read or acknowledged all of them)

i can try again, clearing cookies if that might be the issue.
