So my girlfriends parents bought me this glotank from big Al's:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Tetra-Glofish-Size-3-Aquarium-Kit-1ct/16940355

It's only 3 gallons and plastic, if you could buy glofish in Canada I'd just buy a couple for it but it's still pretty small for even that! It retails for about 50$, I think i'll probably return it for store credit but was wondering if anyone had any ideas! I don't really need another tiny tank though lol

Add salt to the water and turn it into a Pico Reef.  ;D

I do have a bag of instant ocean and crushed coral substrate kicking around... I'd just have to pick up some live rock tho, what would ya keep probably just some inverts?

I have a bunch of mushrooms & palys, a couple of montis, a mini-maxi carpet anemone, a sexi-shrimp, a couple of snails, and an Azure Damsel in mine, all lit by a DIY light.

Here's an old pic...

That's wild looking, how many gallons in that? And does it have a filter?

Peekay

yes, a pico reef would be very cool, but I remember another thread where you are longing for some big planted tank action... a credit of $50 moves you in that direction!  I vote return!  ;)

The tank is roughly 3G.  The only filtration is provided by the live rock.  Circulation is provided by a MJ400, which also provides the heat.  The room temp is 21C and the pump keeps the tank at an even 25C.

I went over your build thread at ReefersParadise, really great stuff!

Now.... Must click away from that site though before I start thinking of starting a pico reef LOL

Back to the original post to stay on track..............

I'll throw it out there, a shrimp tank would be awesome :) or
even a snail only.
I know I'm weird ::).

Agreed, I've been looking at a pico or nano reef for some time now, but I think my family would just flip-you-know-what if I brought another tank into the house.

I ended up returning it for store credit I already have a similar size tank, dymax iq3 which is better quality. It's planted right now but may pico reef it someday! Just didn't need a fourth tank under 8 gallons running lol! I do need a 40+ gallon tank thats nice enough looking that my gf will let me put it in the living room lol!
