I'd like to see sections where we can have reference articles posted.  I believe we have had one in the past but as i recall it was very old information (years and years back).
You mean this?

Don't forget that OVAS has a separate webpage as well.  http://ovas.ca/ovas/

I recognize the similarities between stickies and articles, however a series of articles can be agreed upon and people can volunteer to write/edit/add/review etc them.  A wiki thing would work great for this scenario.

Id also love to see tank-logging software integrated... :)  everyone here maintains a system and it'd be cool if people could maintain their maintenance/testing logs on-line...

I love the idea of a Wiki and tank-logging software, those are great ideas!
I'm a software developer by trade, if that project gets underway, I want to be part of it  :)

One thing I would not mind seing again is the chat room we used to have in the old forum format. Was fun going on and chatting with folks, especially our weekly salty chat.

Two ideas:

1. be able to check off threads you want to 'mark as read' I'm not as often since I have no tanks so when I come on there are a lot of threads I do not want to read but can not remove them. the only feature I see is "mark all as read'.

2. Implement the app. for posting threads and new posts on Tweeter. Also add more Face Book presence with Like buttons. Both of these give a crap load of exposure. Others from anywhere can follow OVAS as OVAS can follow other resources or individuals on Tweeter. On top all the others Liking sites can get lots of exposure on Face Book. I am sure if this was to much extra work a co-chair (or some other label) could assist. They would have no vote or even to attend meetings just help with Social Networking for OVAS.

I don't know about Tweeter but we definitely want Twitter and Facebook integration, let's not forget YouTube, OVAS could get its own channel  8)

Couldn't let that Twitter one go by  ;D

I vote again for a "like" button on thread comments. :)
